People with diabetes range from youths to adults, and the number is shocking! Over 20 millions people in the world suffer from diabetes and 30% of them do not even know that they have diabetes. Why? Let's say that this disease is a 'silent enemy'. It damages several organ functions in your body before you realize it. When you finally find out the damages, it is already too late.

People are dying to know the signs and symptoms of diabetes. But are they ready to response on some simple and most neglected signs? Let's say extreme thirst and hunger, frequent urination, very dry and itchy skin, slow-healed bruises, sudden weight loss, worse eye-sight, easily get tired, frequent numb in hands and feet, and skin / gum / bladder infections.

These are the early symptoms of diabetes, and yet seem not dangerous at all. Many people consider the early symptoms of diabetes as normal phenomenon, that's why they don't actually concern, or if they do concern, they will not consider them as signs and symptoms of diabetes. They will drink much water every time they get thirsty, and eat when they feel hungry. They will put on lotions on dry skin and certainly moisture the skin.
Frequent urination may be the result of working or being whole day in an Air-conditioned room. Slow-healed bruises are not a problem, as long as they finally healed. Sudden weight loss is a good news. Worse eye-sight may be the result of too tired or too long in front of the computer. The skin / gum / bladder infections may be considered as lack of vitamins. See? There are always good explanations for these symptoms, that's why nobody is really alert of the early symptoms of diabetes. Actually, damages are already happened in your body before you experience these symptoms.

Diabetes is also a genetic disease. Some tribes, such as Pacific Islanders, African American, Latino, and Native American are having a greater risk to suffer from diabetes. Basically, diabetes occurs because of the imbalance lifestyle. Less exercise, less rest, instant food, alcoholic drinks, distressful mind, and overweight are all best triggers to diabetes.

The early symptoms of diabetes type 2

There are two types of diabetes, the type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is also known as the early stage of diabetes in which some damages have occurred in the patients' heart, eyes and kidneys. In this stage, patients are mostly asked to change their lifestyle. It may not cure the disease, but at least reduce the chance of getting worse. Some medications and drugs are also given to them.

Type 2 diabetes happens when the body cannot produce sufficient insulin to take care of the amount of sugar blood in the body, or even cannot produce any insulin (known as insulin resistant). In this stage, patients must take frequent insulin injections. Long term insulin injection at the same area of the body will cause skin discoloration.

Type 1 diabetes can lead to type 2 diabetes, it is a next chapter or 'to be continued' story but with a more serious complication problem. That's why the type 1 diabetes patients should extra careful not to step in the next chapter. Sometimes people are diagnosed to have type 2 diabetes even before they know that they ever have had the type 1 diabetes. Therefore it is important to know the early symptoms of diabetes type 2 for both former type 1 diabetes patients and newly diagnosed patients for having a better treatment of type 2 diabetes.

These are the early symptoms of diabetes type 2 :
1. all early signs and symptoms of diabetes are included
2. headache
3. faint / unconsciousness
4. sudden weight gain
5. impotence
6. acanthosis nigricans (the area of neck, armpit and groin change into darker color)
